About Smackstick
Smackstick is a free stickman fighting game you can play online in your browser. The Shadow King and his Ink Army of evil stickmen have taken over five lands, and one small stickman in a red scarf is going to smack every last one of them. Punch, kick, slash and shoot your way through 30 levels, from a misty bamboo valley and a rainy neon city to a desert ghost town, a frozen fortress and a volcano citadel, with a giant boss at the end of every world.
The fighting is fast and flashy. Chain punches into four-hit combos, launch enemies into the air and juggle them, dive-kick from above and slam the ground so hard it shakes. Every hit lands with a jolt: a split-second freeze, screen shake, sparks and comic-book SMACK! and POW! words. The last blow of every fight plays in slow motion while the beaten stickman ragdolls across the screen. Dash through an attack at the very last moment for a Perfect Dodge, and fill your super meter for a Mega Smack that hits every enemy in sight.
You start with nothing but your fists and feet. Beat the first boss and you win a katana that can knock bullets straight back at the shooter. Then come the guns: a pistol, an SMG, a shotgun, an assault rifle, a laser rifle that pierces a whole line of enemies and a rocket launcher, plus a war hammer that sends shockwaves along the ground and a glowing plasma blade. Spend the coins you win on new weapons, five upgrade levels for each one, training (health, power, toughness, super charge) and scarves and hats for your stickman.
There are 15 kinds of evil stickmen, and each one fights its own way: thugs and kickers, swordsmen who block, ninjas who throw shurikens, shield guards you have to kick open, gunners and snipers with laser sights, bombers with dynamite, jetpack troopers and ink shamans who heal their friends. The bosses are Big Bao the bamboo bruiser, Kuro the Neon Blade, Gatling Jack, the Titan Mk.IV mech and the Shadow King himself, each with their own attacks to learn.
Like the best stickman games online, Smackstick is free, with no download and no sign-up. It plays on computers with the keyboard or mouse, and on phones and tablets with an on-screen joystick and buttons, held sideways or upright. Every level has three stars to earn, Survival mode throws endless waves at you, and your progress saves automatically in your browser.

How to play Smackstick

Fight your way through
Walk into each fight zone and beat every evil stickman to open the way on. Enemies flash just before they attack: hit first, or get out of the way.

Chain your combos
Press attack four times for a combo, kick to knock enemies back, and hold down + attack to launch them into the air for a juggle.

Dodge and super
Dash through attacks (a last-moment dash is a slow-motion Perfect Dodge), and use your Mega Smack when the super meter is full.

Upgrade and beat the boss
Spend coins in the shop on weapons, guns and training, then take on the giant boss at the end of each world.

Tips for Smackstick
Watch for the flash
Enemies glint just before they attack. That's your cue to dodge, jump or hit them first.
Launch, then juggle
Enemies in the air can't hit back. Hold down + attack to launch them, then jump and keep hitting.
Kick open the blockers
Swordsmen and shield guards block punches from the front. A kick, a sweep or a heavy weapon breaks their guard.
Dash at the last moment
Dashing through an attack just before it lands slows time with a Perfect Dodge and fills your super meter.
Go for three stars
The combo and health stars pay bonus coins, and training Health and Power makes the later worlds much easier.

Is Smackstick free to play?
Yes. Smackstick is a free stickman fighting game that plays in your browser. There's nothing to download, no account to make and nothing to buy: every weapon and upgrade is unlocked with coins you win in the game.
Can I play Smackstick on my phone?
Yes. On phones and tablets you get an on-screen joystick on the left and Attack, Kick, Jump, Dash, Gun and Super buttons on the right. Hold your phone sideways for the biggest view, or upright: then the game sits on top and the controls get their own panel below, so your thumbs never cover the fight.
How do I do combos and air juggles?
Press attack four times in a row for a four-hit combo. To launch an enemy, hold down and press attack (or go attack, attack, kick), then jump after them and keep pressing attack to juggle them in the air. In the air, kick does a dive kick and down + attack slams the ground. The pause menu lists every move.
How do I get swords and guns?
You start with fists and kicks. Beat Big Bao, the boss of World 1, and you get a katana; beat Kuro in World 2 and you get a pistol. After that, the shop sells the SMG, shotgun, assault rifle, laser rifle, rocket launcher, war hammer and plasma blade as each new world opens, and every weapon has five upgrade levels.
How do I beat the bosses?
Every boss shows its attacks before they land: Big Bao roars before he charges (dodge and he hits the wall, dizzy), shockwaves along the ground have to be jumped, Gatling Jack's minigun is aimed high (duck) or low (jump), and the Titan's laser sweeps the floor. Learn the pattern, hit hard in the gaps and save your Mega Smack. If a boss is too tough, replay earlier levels for coins and train your Health and Power in the shop.
What are the stars for?
Each level has three stars: one for beating it, one for reaching its combo goal and one for finishing with at least 60% of your health. New stars pay extra coins, so replaying levels for all three is the quickest way to afford upgrades.
Is Smackstick violent?
It's cartoon stickman action: punches, kicks, swords and guns, but no blood or gore. Beaten stickmen flop over like rag dolls and splash away into ink. It's made for older kids, teens and grown-ups who like action games. There's no chat and no sign-up.
Does Smackstick save my progress?
Yes. Your levels, stars, coins, weapons and upgrades save automatically in the browser you play in, so you can come back any time. Clearing your browser data resets the game.
