About Catchy Cove
Catchy Cove is a free cozy fishing game you can play right in your browser. Granny Pearl has sailed off to see the world and left you her little cove: a wooden dock, a cottage, a rowboat and a big, empty aquarium. Tap to cast, and your hook drops through sunny water full of cute, bug-eyed fish. Slip past them on the way down, catch as many as you can on the way back up, then tap them as they leap out of the water in slow motion for bonus coins.
There are 60 kinds of fish to find, from the Sandy Minnow and the Bubble Goby to legendary giants like Captain Kelpbeard, and every one has a rare golden version. Fish come in five rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Legendary. Sail from Catchy Cove to Lily Pond, Rushing River, Moonlit Lake and the Coral Reef out in the open ocean, and finally down into the Deep Blue, a glowing deep-sea trench 500 metres deep. Dawn, day, dusk and night come and go, with sun, clouds, rain, fog and rainbows, and some fish only bite at night, in the rain or in the fog.
Every catch goes to the Fish Shop on the pier, which finds each fish a happy home in ponds and aquariums around the bay and pays you coins. Spend them on a longer Line, more Hooks, a faster Reel, tastier Bait and a bigger Net, and buy a new boat for each fishing spot. Every kind of fish you've caught can also swim in Granny's aquarium, so this is a fishing game with an aquarium built in. Pick which fish to show (6 at first, up to 30 in the biggest tank), decorate it with 36 decorations, feed the fish and wipe the glass, and visitors will stop at the window and drop tips in the jar.
Pebble the otter or Mochi the cat rides along in your boat, scoops up leaping fish and spots the rare ones for you. Come back every day for the Catch of the Day, three Tide Tasks and the next gift on your calendar, and empty the trap baskets that keep filling with fish for up to 12 hours while you're away. There are 40 trophies to earn and 12 of Granny Pearl's bottles to find, each with a postcard from her travels.

How to play Catchy Cove

Cast your line
Tap anywhere to cast. Your hook drops into the water and sinks as deep as your Line lets it go.

Dodge on the way down
Drag to steer the hook past the fish. If you bump one, it's hooked and you start reeling up from there, so slip past them to reach the deeper, better fish.

Catch on the way up
Steer into fish on the way back up. Every fish you touch is caught, until all your hooks are full.

Tap the leap
At the surface your catch leaps into the air in slow motion. Tap the fish for bonus coins, then buy better gear, sail to new spots and cast again.

Tips for Catchy Cove
Slip past fish on the way down
A bump starts the reel-up early. Steer around fish going down to reach the deeper fish, which are worth more.
Tap every leaping fish
Each scooped fish pays a bonus, and scooping them all is a PERFECT LEAP: +25% on the whole cast.
Fish at night and in the rain
Some fish only bite at night, at dawn or dusk, or in rain and fog. One in-game day lasts 20 minutes, so night is never far away.
Empty your traps every day
Traps fill for 2 hours at first. Upgrade them to 12 hours, and a half-full basket may even hold a fish you haven't caught yet.

How do I catch rare fish?

Your fish book shows a silhouette and hints for every fish you've seen. Bait makes rare and golden fish more common, and your companion puts a sparkle over rare fish once it reaches level 2. Watch for a huge shadow: it means a legendary fish is near.

Yes. Every kind of fish you've caught can swim in Granny's aquarium. Pick which ones to show: 6 at first, up to 30 with bigger tanks. Decorate it with 36 decorations, sand colours and backgrounds, feed the fish and wipe the glass. Visitors stop by the window and leave tips in a jar, and you can save a photo of your fish tank.
Does Catchy Cove keep going when I'm away?
Yes. Trap baskets keep filling with fish while the game is closed: 2 hours at first and up to 12 hours with upgrades. The aquarium's tip jar fills for up to 8 hours. When you come back, one tap collects it all, along with the Catch of the Day, your Tide Tasks and the next gift on your calendar.
