About Haggleton
Haggleton is a free pawn shop game you can play online, right in your browser. Great-Aunt Mabel has left you her dusty little shop, Mabel's Pawn & Wonders, in a storybook town where farmers, knights, wizards, robots, hikers and Halloween costume folk all come through the same creaky door. Every one of them puts something on your counter and names a price.
Is it a treasure, a clever fake, or probably stolen? Pick the item up and turn it around in 3D. Slide the loupe over tiny maker's marks, serial numbers and gold hallmarks, sweep the UV lamp to make fresh paint and forged signatures glow, weigh it on the scale, try the magnet, and x-ray it to see what's hidden inside. Every clue you find narrows your estimate of what it's really worth.
Then haggle. Every customer has a personality, a mood and a secret lowest price: sweet sellers who have no idea what they've got, greedy ones who ask double, shrewd ones who know the value, nervous ones who just want cash fast, and smooth con artists. Use the scratches and dents you found as arguments, catch fakes red-handed, and hand stolen goods to the Town Watch. Then sell your finds to buyers for more than you paid.
Pay greedy Count Grimsby his rent every Sunday, unlock new tools, follow Aunt Mabel's letters to solve the mystery of the Moonlight Magpie, and find her Seven Wonders. After the 4-week story there's endless free play and a Daily Deal that's the same for everyone. Free, no sign-up, and your shop saves by itself.
How to spot a fake in Haggleton
Every fake fails at least one test, but a good fake passes some of them. Use every tool you have before you pay a lot, and check the price guide for what a real one looks like.
| Tool | What it finds |
|---|---|
| Your eyes | Scratches, dents, cracks, chips, rust, stains and signatures. Turn the item all the way around and tap anything odd. |
| Loupe | Maker's marks (real ones have a 5-point star and the right spelling), serial numbers, year stamps, gold and silver hallmarks (750 and 925 are real, GP means gold plated) and print dots on copies. |
| UV lamp | New paint, glue and fresh ink glow under UV. A real old signature doesn't. |
| Scale | Fakes are often too light (or too heavy). Compare with the weight in the price guide. |
| Magnet | Real gold, silver and brass don't stick. Real iron and steel do. |
| X-ray | What's inside: proper gears, a cheap battery... or a hidden surprise. |
| Stolen list | Read the serial with the loupe, then check it against the Town Watch's list. |
How haggling works
Every customer has a price they won't go past. Sellers start high and come down, buyers start low and come up. The further your offer is from their limit, the more patience it costs, and when the bar runs out they storm off.
- Naive sellers often don't know what they have. Paying them fairly keeps your reputation up.
- Greedy and shrewd customers give ground slowly: be patient and creep toward each other.
- Nervous sellers want it over fast, and sometimes for a reason: check the stolen list.
- Clue cards (a scratch, a dent, a fake mark) lower what a seller will take.
- Chat once to win back a little patience. Walk away and some customers call you back with a last offer.

How to play Haggleton
- 1
Listen to the customer
Each customer tells you about their item and names a price. Tap the speech bubble (or anywhere on the shop) to move their story along.
- 2
Inspect it
Tap Inspect. Drag to turn the item (or use the turn and Flip buttons), zoom in, and use your tools. Marks, years and serial numbers are often underneath. Every clue goes in your notebook and changes your estimate.
- 3
Make an offer
Set your price with the slider or the - and + buttons and tap Offer. Offers far below what they'll take cost their patience: watch the bar under their name. Tap a clue card to argue a lower price.
- 4
Sell for more
What you buy goes on your shelves. Buyers point at things they like: name your price, start high, and meet them in the middle. Pay the rent every Sunday.

Tips for Haggleton
Always look underneath
Marks, years and serial numbers hide on the back and the bottom. Use the Flip button.
Read the price guide
It shows what a real maker's mark looks like and what the thing usually sells for. Your estimate stays wide until you read it.
Start low, but not too low
A first offer around half of what you think it's worth is fair. Insulting offers burn patience fast, especially with grumpy customers.
Sell high, then come down
With buyers, ask for more than it's worth and let them haggle you down a little at a time.
Watch the market
The morning paper says which kind of thing is hot today. Sell those first.
Keep cash for Sunday
Don't spend everything before rent day. A clean in the workshop can add value before you sell.
Frequently asked questions
Is Haggleton free?
Yes. Haggleton is a free pawn shop game that plays in your browser. There is nothing to buy and no sign-up.
Are there ads in Haggleton?
No. There are no ads inside the game.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Haggleton plays on phones held upright or sideways, on tablets and on computers. On a slower device or a school Chromebook the game lowers its graphics by itself, and you can pick Low graphics in Settings.
How do I spot fakes?
Inspect everything. Look under items with the loupe for the maker's mark, serial number and hallmark, sweep the UV lamp for glowing new paint, weigh it, try the magnet and x-ray it. The notebook says what each clue means, and a fake always fails at least one test.
What happens if I can't pay the rent?
Count Grimsby lets you off once: you pay what you can and the rest goes on next week's bill. Big Bert's Wholesale will also buy stock from you for a little over half its value. If you're short a second time, you can retry the week.
How long is the story?
Four weeks of shop days, about two to three hours. After the ending you can keep trading in free play, and there's a new Daily Deal every day.
Is it OK for kids?
Yes. It's a cozy, funny game about spotting fakes and doing fair deals, with no violence. Ripping off kind customers costs you reputation, and handing stolen goods to the Town Watch earns a reward.
Does Haggleton save my game?
Yes. Your shop saves automatically in your browser after every customer. Clearing your browser data resets it.
Is Haggleton unblocked?
Haggleton is a normal website game on zoomygames.com. Whether it opens on a school or work network depends on that network's own filters; we don't try to get around them.
