About Honkaroo
Honkaroo is a free bus jam puzzle game you can play online in your browser. The parking lot is jammed full of cars, vans and buses, and a long line of cute pets is waiting at the bus stop. Tap a vehicle to send it out of the lot to a free bay, and the pets of its colour hop on board. When a vehicle is full, it beeps twice and drives off home. Clear the whole jam and every pet gets home.
The catch: every vehicle can only drive forward. If something is in the way, it bumps into it with a honk and backs up, so you have to clear the way first. The bus stop only has five bays, and a vehicle waits there until its pets reach the front of the line. Park too many vehicles that nobody is waiting for and the bus stop fills up. That's what makes this parking jam game a real brain teaser: look at the line, plan a few moves ahead and dig out the right car at the right time.
Each colour is one animal (red crabs, yellow chicks, pink piggies, green caterpillars, elephants, foxes, polar bears, puppies and kitties), so you can always tell who goes where even if colours are hard to tell apart. Cars take 4 pets, vans 6 and long buses 10. New things keep coming as you play: cones and planters that never move, mystery cars that only show their colour when their way out is clear, and garages that roll out a new vehicle whenever the space in front is free.
Honkaroo has 100 levels across five neighbourhoods, from Sunny Suburb and Beach Boulevard to Maple Park, Snowy Village and the glowing Neon City at night, with hard and super hard levels along the way and endless jams after that. Stuck? Earn coins and use a booster: open an extra bay, fly any vehicle over the jam with a propeller, or line up the pets that fit. It's a car parking puzzle for kids and grown-ups that plays on phones, tablets and computers, with no download and no sign-up.

How to play Honkaroo

Tap a vehicle
Tap a car, van or bus. If its way forward is clear, it drives out of the lot to a free bay at the bus stop.

Match the pets
The pet at the front of the line hops into a parked vehicle of its own colour. Full vehicles drive off and free their bay.

Clear the way
Vehicles only drive the way they face. If something is in the way, move that first.

Don't fill the stop
There are only five bays. If they are all full and nobody fits the front pet, you're stuck. Plan ahead!

Keep a bay free
An empty bay is your safety net. Fill the last one only with a vehicle the front pet needs.
Dig, then send
If the car you need is buried, first move the ones in front of it, starting with those whose pets come soon.
Big vehicles take longer
A bus needs 10 pets before it leaves and blocks its bay until then.

Is Honkaroo free to play?
Yes. Honkaroo is a free bus jam game that plays in your browser. There is nothing to download, no account to make and nothing to buy: boosters are bought with coins you earn by clearing levels.
What is a bus jam game?
Bus jam games (also called parking jam or car jam puzzles) are puzzle games where a parking lot is packed with vehicles that can only drive forward, and passengers wait in a line by colour. You pick the order the vehicles leave in so each one picks up its own passengers before the bus stop fills up. Honkaroo is our own take on the idea, with cute animal passengers, 100 levels and boosters for when you get stuck.
How do I beat a hard level?
Look at the next ten or so pets in the line before you tap. Free the vehicles they need first, and keep at least one bay empty for emergencies. Don't send out a vehicle whose pets are far back in the line unless it is in the way of one you need. If you get stuck, the Extra bay booster gives you one more space.
Can I play Honkaroo on my phone?
Yes. Honkaroo works on phones, tablets and computers. On a phone it's best held upright: tap a vehicle to send it out. On a computer, click the vehicles with your mouse.
Is Honkaroo OK for kids?
Yes. It's a cheerful puzzle with cute animals, honking cars and no violence, no chat and no sign-up. The first levels are short and a pointing hand shows what to do, so younger kids can play too, while the later levels are tricky enough for grown-ups.
How many levels are there?
There are 100 levels in five neighbourhoods, with a hard level every five levels and a super hard one every ten. After level 100 the game keeps making new jams for you, so you can play as long as you like.
What do the boosters do?
Extra bay opens one more bay at the bus stop for the rest of the level. Propeller lets you pick any vehicle, even a blocked one, and fly it over the jam to the bus stop. Line up brings the pets that fit the parked vehicles to the front of the line. You get two of each for free when they unlock, and can buy more with coins.
Does Honkaroo save my progress?
Yes. Your level, coins and boosters save automatically in the browser you play in, so you can stop any time and carry on later. Clearing your browser data resets the game.
